By the way, the server is running on OS X Server Leopard - 10.5.8. There is only one database open on the server. It is not a high-traffic box.
FileMaker Server 10.0.2.206 on XXXSERVER reported the following event:
Mon Mar 28 21:17:42 PDT 2011 FMS ERROR wpe1
Some problems were detected in the WPE COMPONENT: COMPONENT IS NOT RESPONDING.
- I get this same thing, but I am running Windows Server 2003
This happened after the server was rebooted. I have a UPS power backup, so it was not that.
Is this an hourly event like playdrums' issue? Are you using web publishing at all?
Let's try redeploying the web publishing engine. Open the admin console and click on the "Edit server deployment" link on the right side of the Server Overview. From there, follow the prompts to finish the deployment and let us know if that resolves the issue.
Thanks TS Bear - when I finally found a computer that didn't have its Java upgraded, I was able to get in and see that the web publishing was running but the database server wasn't, even though everyone could get to those databases.. it was odd. I restarted the server a few times and everything is running fine.
I tried to deinstall Filemaker Server 10, then put in 11, but 10 will not uninstall using the Add/Remove programs. It just hangs after you hit remove. Tried this several times.
