The admin console is usually unavailable because of issues with Java. So, I use the command prompt to close and stop my server when I can't use the console. I would like to take advantage of some of the other commands but I think my syntax is wrong. I'm on a PC so I have to enter the whole filepath.
"C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Database Server\fmsadmin" List
This command only gives me a description of FM and the command for the help file. I want to see which clients are logged on
"C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Database Server\fmsadmin" close -t 60 -m "I'm closing the database"
This command closes the database but it doesn't wait 60 seconds or send the message to the users.
The only documentation I've found just lists the commands, it doesn't give examples of proper syntax. Could someone please tell me where I'm going wrong in these commands.
