Hello, I would realy be glad for some help here.
Thank you for the post and I apologize for the delay.
Please review the following, KB11550, to determine which version of Java to use on which operating system:
The recommendation would be to always stay as current as possible.
Thanks for your answer.
I asked them to use the same as version as on the old installation, 6 update 33.
When they installed the latest update to get to version 18.104.22.1685 Java was updated to 7 update 17 - and everything is OK.
On the link you posted it said (for Windows): Java 6 (the most current version)
Do you think it´s safe to follow Java´s update and always stay with the current version?
The reason for my question is first all the problems we had last time and also that the people hosting our servers isn´t cheap... :-)
Thank you for the reply.
KB11550 also states:
"FileMaker Server 12.0v4 and FileMaker Server 12.0v4 Advanced has been released to provide Java 7 compatibility. FileMaker recommends using FileMaker Server 12.0v4 or FileMaker Server 12.0v4 Advanced and Java 7."
FileMaker Server 12.0v4 will install Java 7.
