Title

Horrible Remote Container Gotcha!

Your post

I had remote containers enabled in a file where over 70,000 scans were stored in remote containers.  Not wanting to make major changes to the file without testing I stopped the Server using the Console and used a backup to add features to the file.  None of the features modified any container used previously and no new remote containers were created. Just be safe and sane by using the last back to make sure things were working before uploading.

I then had to Remove the file using the console since Filemaker will not Replace a file.  I did so and then uploaded the modified file.  WHAM! all 70,000 scans were removed along with the directory containing them.  No warning!

THIS IS THE WORST BUG I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A PROGRAM!
