Are you talking about admin the FMS or connecting to your db hosted on FMS?
If the latter, then see this recent thread but instead of port 591, it would be port 5003.
I'm talking about connecting to a db hosted on the FMS. What do I enter into the "Network File Path"?
Any combination with the public IP of our network returns an "Incorrect address" error.... port defined or not.
Do you have a firewall between the Internet and your FMS? If so, you'll need to setup static NAT, and it would be best to have a static public IP address to assign to the FMS. Then, you'll need to allow Internet users to connect to port 5003 through the firewall.
Thank you for your posts.
For the available ports, please review Knowledge Base Article #6427:
If you want to access a file outside your intranet, then under "Network File Path" enter:
fmnet:/< host IP address >/ <filename.fp7>
Assuming all the correct ports are open, you should then be able to access the database file.
