How to setup ODBC in OS X?

      Your post

Can I use the FM10 provided ODBC driver to connect to the FileMaker?

For instance, I would like to use Excel 2008 to Query the FileMaker database, which is on the same computer.

I have already read the xDBC manual, searched here and also googled but step by step info available. To be exact, I cannot find the location to input the data source location (i.e. localhost).

      Any idea?

          Thank you for your post.

In the ODBC/JDBC guide, it says (for Mac) to copy the SequeLink.bundle to either your System or User Library.

Once that is done, then you need to configure a client driver for the data source.  For ODBC Mac, you'll specify the port in the ODBC Administrator.

You should then be able to execute SQL queries to access the FileMaker data.
