IIS and Server 2012 Essentials - lost RDP and remote website
During the install of FM Server 13 on our Windows Server 2012 Essentials box, it asked to take over port 80 & 443. I was using port 443 in an RDP session doing the install. I had uninstalled server 12, rebooted and was installing 13. I said no the first time, it closed the install. So launching it again, I said yes and it failed on port 443 since I was on it. The install would not finish, so I re-installed FM Server 12, which it did just fine.
The issue is I have now lost my remote.domain.com site, default website, and servername/Connect to add computers to the domain. I have tried everything to get it back up and running. At first I had lost RDP, but ended up reinstalling a certificate to get it back up.
I know now by calling FileMaker that Server 2012 Essentials is not a tested (nor ever from what they stated) operating system (that was after they got our $1,500). Please help, I have spent a week on this problem and the owner is very upset.
