Importing XML data via a server-side script imports dates in wrong date format

      Your post

      Hello,

I'm having an issue importing XML data from a server side script. The database's date format is set to UK dates of dd/mm/yyyy. I'm running FileMaker Server 11 Advanced on Mac OS X 10.6.4 and the computer's date settings are set to UK format.

      I'm importing the following dates:

      01/12/2010 (1st Dec) which imports as 12/01/2010 (12th Jan)

      09/12/2010 (9th Jan) which imports as 12/09/2010 (12th Sept)

      30/12/2010 (30th Dec) which imports as 30/12/2010 (30th Dec)

The issue isn't consistent in that it always imports as US dates, that would be easy enough to workaround. I've imported a further date of 13/12/2010 (13th Dec) and that imports correctly so the issue seems to be that if the day is 1-12, the date is imported as US format as Server interprets the day part of the date as the month. If the day is greater than 12, the day part can't be the month and therefore the date is imported as UK format.

If I run the same script from FileMaker Pro on another Mac running 10.6.4 and also with UK date settings, the date is imported correctly every time so the issue is with the server-side import. Has this been seen before with XML imports in server-side scripts?

      Regards,

      Damon Casey.
