PHP to return a single user's record by searching using the account Name as an argument

Your post

Greetings and help,

I am trying to modify a Filemaker 11 API generated site that will simpily just look up a

user's record after signing in. The site will need to:

1. Allow the user to sign in using the API generated authentication page
2. Use the existing $username to look up a single record which has a matching field in

the database which is on the layout I am using.
3. Display the record using the record ID that the API uses so I can use the API edit

features

I am really having a hard time with this. It seems all I need to do is programmactially

find a way to search for the record that has the field matching the login and display

this record. I have tried the following syntax in the documentation with no success:

$findCommand =& $fm->newFindCommand('Form View');
$findCommand->addFindCriterion('Questionnaire ID', $active_questionnaire_id);
$result = $findCommand->execute();

I also tried to execute a script to do the look up as well without success.

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
