Return to FileMaker.com
So I just installed Filemaker Server 13 on a new server running Windows 7. I enabled IIS on the machine. We are able to successfully access the Database locally (in the office) with no problems.
I'm trying to set up remote access and I'm not sure how to do this.
Want to be able to connect to FileMaker databases from home or anywhere through the FileMaker Pro Client on a laptop.
Help is much appreciated.
basically, You need to know Your WAN IP ('external'-IP) - and You have to forward port 5003 (on Your router) to the machine running FMS. Depends on Your router (If You don't have a static WAN-IP, You can use a service like DynDNS)
