Unable to access server admin console from remote computers
I am only able to access the console from the server itself, I am not able to get to it from any other computer.
So would it be safe to assume that you CAN access the SAC on the server itself?
The first port of call (pun intended) is ports - is there a firewall on the server or between the server and clients? If so, you need ports open - 16000 to start.

Yes, If I RDP into the server I am able to get to the admin console. Currently all that is running on the server is filemaker, and symantec endpoint protection. Ports are clear on both windows firewall and endpoint
Well it is defintly Windows server that is blocking the admin console. If I disable windows firewall I am able to connect to the server's admin console with no issues. I have TCP ports 50003, 16000, 16001, 5003, and 5013 open. Am I missing something?
The only one I would add to your list is 16004 - must be available on all machine but not necessarily open for inter-machine communication.
See KB 6427 FileMaker Server and FileMaker Server Advanced port numbers
figured it out, port 16000 was also selected to only allow a specific subnet of computers through that particular point. Disabled that and everything seems to be working well. Thanks for the help TS_Oz
Glad you figured it out and that it is working now.
That is another thing I will add to my troubleshooting list - "so the ports are open but has there been any restriction placed on the use of those ports?".
