Try to remove
01./Library/Filemaker Server folder (Backup the data folder)
restart the Mac and try to install the FMS13
I stopped all fms processes, deleted the the ServerHD/Library/FileMaker Server folder, emptied the trash and restarted. It still indicates that FMS 11 is install and the FMS 13 installation stops.
Are there settings or preferences to remove elsewhere?
Can you try Filemaker Server's uninstall process now ?
How did you stopped the Filemaker server process ? maybe if you stopped via Gui pannel , but it is still processing ? and that process does not let you uninstall the FMS ? (just in my imagination)
you can verify it by entering following commands to terminal appYou can use these following commands:To close the databases:fmsadmin closeTo list the status of the databases:fmsadmin list files -sTo stop FileMaker Server:fmsadmin stop server
I stopped the fms processes via the Activity Monitor.
I'll call FM support later today as this falls under their standard support.
I had a similar problem, had v12 and couldn't uninstall.
I've tried, by pure desparation, to choose uninstall in the v13 installer, and it worked. It uninstalled something and i was able to install v13.
Maybe it also works with you
That worked. Thanks.
