since FileMaker Server 13 works different (AND: FM13 has a new file-format that need FM13 clients as well), I'm afraid that You have to set up the server from scratch.
If You can export the settings from the server (don't have a fms10 here), You can try that (importing in FMS13). I personally would prefer to set up the sever from scratch - just because it's quite different..
Edit: IMHO Server 10 has to be deinstalled before FMS13 can be installed. We did this a couple of times - but left the old server running, bought a new Mac Mini just as FileMaker Server for V13
Thanks Markus. That was the feeling I got when reading all the upgrade scenarios. I haven't yet discovered a way to export the settings, but I prefer to because the PHP connections were set up long ago by a developer that is no longer with us.
I did, however, notice that FM server 12v5 is compatible with Mavericks. Does anyone know if the upgrade path is simple going from FM10 to FM12 server?
The new file format was introduce with FM12.. I would prefer a separate machine for the new generation anyways.
Beside of this, I always deinstalled the old server - before installing a new version
