If you have Java 8.xx installed it is not supported for FMS 13.
I thought i could reinstall Java 7 but it won't install on 10.10, guess i have to reverse the upgrade back to OS 10.6 and then install 10.8 and Java 7 instead.
You can do that without reinstalling FMS or Mac OS X.
See my post FMS 13 and unintended Java updates.
But that post only tells how to stop Java from upgrading automatically, not how to install Java 7 on Mavericks.
See if this helps . . .
Delete Java 8 (Finder to Applications folder. Search on JavaApplet.Plugin. Delete. Empty Trash
Follow instructions here:
JDK 7 Mac Install
Issue command line to stop updates
Reboot. Check on FMS auto-starting
I hope that helps.
Java 7.72 works with Mac OS 10.10 and i have installed FM 13 on my computer but i had to uninstall it again because there are changes made to which ports that has to be open and these new ports are in conflict with other services such as wiki and websites. So i will move my Filemaker server to another hardware. Of course i could have changed the ports for my other applications but i rather move filemaker to another hardware.
