Using an HTML form to add a record in FM

      Your post

Newbie here that needs your help.   I'm sure this is easy to do but I don't know the correct HTML tags.

We have FMPro 10 and FM Server 8.     I have an HTML Form that I want to "submit" a new record to a FM database.   That's all!   Easy right...  Once submitted, it should direct the user to a "thank you" page else error page.

      Here's my sample form:

      http://sas.calpoly.edu/eop/testfrcontract.html

      Can someone help.

      Thanks.

          Thank you for your post.

Is there a reason why you are hesitant to use Instant Web Publishing with FileMaker Pro?  You can control the input and once submitted, the data is fed directly into the database, and you can present a "Thank you" page.

If you require Custom Web Publishing, then you may want to look into FileMaker Server Advanced.
