What to do when a unit has FMS 12 and FMS13 (and 12 and 13 clients?)

      Your post

We run a managed Mac installation here.    We also have some units that run their own FMS.   Some have FMS 13 (and have updated to 13.0v9), but one still runs FMS 12 -- and uses SSL (albeit with the default FMS 12 certificate -- not a custom cert...)

Centrally, we would like to push out the FM 13.0v9 *client* now -- but the unit with the FMS 12 server is concerned that if their FMS clients (which are a mix of 12 and 13) have the 13 clients updated to 13.0v9 -- without having a FMS 12 patch -- that this may break the client-server connection once the FMS 12 Server update is released.

The rest of the campus would rather not wait "weeks" because of the slow upgrade rollout of the FM 12 client/servers.

Can you advise what will happen if their 13 clients are updated to 13.0v9 *before* their FMS 12 is updated?
