Windows 7 vs Filemaker Server connection limits
I have a client who needs to run Filemaker Server Advanced as they want about 20 clients, and maybe another 6 web connections. (Unfortunately FM Server doesn't allow any IWP access, even though FM Client does. Seems a bit cynical.) It is not expected to be a particularly demanding application, so they are looking to run the FM Server Advanced on a Windows 7 Professional workstation.
Windows 7 itself allows 20 connections (as I understand it). Will this be a limitation on the number of simultaneous connections that Filemaker Server will be able to accept, or does the Windows OS count all the connections to Filemaker Server as one? In other words (ignoring performance issues) will Filemaker Server Advanced running on a Windows 7 Professional OS be able to have (say) 50 simultaneous connections?
Thanks for your help.
