Did you uninstall 13 first?
Yes, 13 was uninstalled followed by a reboot of the machine prior to installing 14
Odd. I haven't seen this before. What does the Server Overview page show for version?
Are you referring to the Status page? If so, it states Server Version 22.214.171.124
something is messed up. What hardware/OS? Looks like part of the html is wrong
I guess you use safari (on mac). It sometime show old web pages after site is up dated. Clear cache in browser.

I went ahead and performed an uninstall. Once complete I renamed the c:\Program Files\FileMaker directory just to make sure that there would be a clean install. I then installed FMS 126.96.36.199
After install, I launched the admin console and everything appeared to be correct and referenced FileMaker Server 14.
I then went ahead and installed the latest update which is v188.8.131.52. After this install I launched the Admin Console and it goes back to showing FileMaker Server 13.
For the time being im going to leave it at 184.108.40.206 as users will be logging in shortly. My plan is to re-download the updater and install it tonight to see what happens.
Sounds like a caching or registry issue. Not the first time it's happened. 9-10 did it occasionally too. It's not a problem as far as the server running and serving data though.
specs should be OK - besides of the 'SP1'.. no idea if this matters. I installed 14.01 on a new machine (Mac) and installed the 14.02 patch - although the update wasn't really clear (I tried to install the patch immediately after the vanilla install, before setting up the FMS, what it did not like..), it worked perfect
Maybe there are old config files somewhere ?
I verified that SP1 is installed.
It's not a big deal as everything functions as it should, just threw me off when I logged in and saw 13 instead of 14. My only concern is in the future if another developer manages the server and see's 13 they might go down the path of trying to update when its already updated.
What I may do is make a copy of the FileMaker directory prior to installing the update and then compare the files after install to see what changes.
I will be upgrading the OS to Server 2012 in the near future but I wanted to see the performance with the hardware on 14 before I upgraded the OS to determine if a hardware upgrade was needed as well.
Also, as a side note - When I was on v14.02, anytime I attempted to launch the Start Page or the Test Page, I received an error from IE that I needed to turn on TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 although they were already on and the page wouldn't load. Not sure if that issue is related.
