Is Additional Database Folders as secure as Default Database Folders?

Question asked by riber-sparre on Sep 7, 2015

For some reason I am unaware of (please enlighten me if you know for sure why) FileMaker Server is unable to attach an external stored document in a container to a server side Send Mail (script step) when the file is in the default files repository (Databases/RC_Data_FMS). Only if the file is located in ~Filemaker Server/Data/Documents or in the temp folder, such attachment to a server side Send Mail is possible.

The solution to this is to activate Additional Database Folders in FMS, establish another folder to store the database file in and use the Documents folder as storage for container data.

My question is this, is the database and the container data equally secure as when located in the default database folder?
