You can enable zoom in System Preferences / Accessibility.
Another option is to decrease the resolution on your monitor.
Yes, I frequently zoom my screen. But it would be nice to have the option to specify MINIMUM font size in all dialogs, menus, etc.
I have tried using the accessibility controls but it that is not really a proper solution. Of course, specifying a
MIN size is acceptable , but considering the number of developers and users, I can only laugh at the FM engineers allow us to create screens with ANY font sizes for our clients but they cannot give us the same courtesy.
This could be an issue with the OSX rather than FileMaker. Interestingly enough, in Windows Display settings you can increase the font size from the default 11 up to 24 for six types of system fonts, including title bars and message boxes. This applies to 7 and 8, but I think Vista had this settings as well.
in OSX, there are settings (under Accessibility), but not for default font sizes. a browser or other app may have preferences that are outside the OS. Zoom is the only option for these feeble eyes.
Displays have become higher and higher resolution. 20 years ago this wasn't a problem (old eyes aside).
Seems like they could just bump them up a point or two for all of us.
I do some of my calculations in MS Word, just to avoid a spacing error.
This isn't a FileMaker-based solution, but I've gotta say that cataract surgery worked wonders for me (age 71).
