commit / refresh

Whether you think its a "poor solution" or not... Web Direct is what it is.
WebDirect is always evaluated in a server side context. since the set field is happening on the server and not the client side (like pro) the refresh is required to tell webdirect to redraw the screen.
FileMaker added the Refresh Object script step in FM13 which allows you to refresh a single object on your layout, rather then the entire layout. Try adding that instead of the refresh window script step.
I tried the 'refresh object' script, didn't work either.
My solution was to hide the popover when the contact was inactive. That actually worked better so the listview wasn't so cluttered up.
Thanks for your help.
Just tried the 'refresh object' again. Still didn't work. So stuck with the 'refresh screen'. Oh well, luckily this is a screen that is only used in setting up things so not an every day occurence.
Still poking at this problem.
What appears to be happening is that if you are in a form view the 'refresh object' works perfectly.
If you are in 'list view' with 1 to 20 or so records 'refresh object works just fine.
If you are in list view with over 30 records it doesn't work at all.
