I hadn't see the AI_USERNAME is used.
Every login account has its preferences (keep username), so 1st time run FMP show the dialog for input username with current login account name. Only need hit a return key.
So you would be able to make a template of registry, then import it after installation completed.
Same problem here.
I found that the installer procedure makes use of "net user" instead "quser *".
Create a Windows logon script that will take the user account and write it the FM prefs area in the registry...
Usually this is not so important since virtually no one uses the Get(UserName) anymore?
Thank you, Wim.
I have forwarded your suggestion to IT department.

Agreed, in scripts get(username) is largely supplanted by get(account name)
However, this is important for a couple of reasons;
1. The User Name is what goes into the Account Name part of the login dialog box.
In a situation where you must login to the database to use it manually (that is without credential manager etc) you need to enter your user name every time. This is a PITA for end users.
2. When using Server Admin tool, clients are listed by the User Name. If everyone has the same user name it makes it hard to track down individual users.
