    Getting a value list into a repeating fieldj

      I'd like to get a value list into a repeating field, but can't seem to do it. The value list is based on an existing field. Here's what I have tried:

      GetValue ( List ( SourceField ) ; Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) )

      I put that formula on a calc field that isn't stored, and configured that field to have 12 repetitions. It only seems to grab the first value in the list.

          You need Extend() function, or use [1] at non repeating field as

          SourceField[1]

          And, I doubt you use X relation to make the value list. Use ValueListItems() function instead of List().

            As it turned out, the expression I posted above actually was working. The problem was that that expression was the consequent of a conditional (if-then), and the antecedent of that conditional needed the Extend function wrapping each field it referenced. Thanks for mentioning the Extend function. This now works:

            If (

            Extend ( Field_1 = x ) and Extend ( Field_2 = y ) ;

            GetValue ( List ( SourceField_1 ) ; Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) ) ;

            GetValue ( List ( SourceField_2 ) ; Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) )

            )
