I posted this before I received Mark Baum's email. It seems to be a similar issue, at least to me. Mark asked that the email recipients not reply to the email as he mailed over 1,500 people. I get that. Still, I think this issue relevant to the one Mark addresses.
Mark - if you happen to stumble upon this post - can you please make polls available to the Discussions place?
It's kind of awkward that FMI's "Community User Agreement" clearly states "do not post polls" while the community site is offering the posting of polls to it's members...
Maybe my command of English is not good enough for that subtlety, but this sounds strange to me.
Thanks Torsten. I'm sure I skimmed through the Community User Agreement at one time, though I must admit it wasn't on my mind when I tried to set the place for the poll to Discussions.
I agree that it is confusing that it is even offered. It also seems to me that the community likes a "poll" every now and then:
Yes, polls do make sense here. But reading FMI's legalese applicable to all member activities here, you are up to pay their fees and stuff if they take serious offense by one of your activities. And posting a poll is violating their present conditions of use.
FMI, please get your legalese and functionalities offered here in line. Complex and incoherent legalese puts people off.
