How do I retrieve my information on my filemaker 6 after it all disappeared?

I lost all my information on family history on my I-Mac from filemaker 6.  It all just disappeared, yet another place says thanks for installing it.  How do I get back all the information stored on it?  Earl Getschel

We need a bit more information as to what you are seeing / experiencing in order to determine what is going on.

So, if you double click on your data file to have your "family history" file open in FileMaker Pro 6 you are not seeing any data in it or is the application not even launching at all?

If you are not seeing any data in it, I'd conform you aren't looking at a found set of 0 records.  Or perhaps looking at a layout that for whatever reason isn't showing any records.

If the application itself does not launch, I would try re-installing it.

I am not familiar with the "thanks for installing it" message unless you are talking about the one that shows up after a successful installation.
