Hallo, how to hide dialog: "No record are present. To create ...", when in found set is empty?
Much of it is covered here...
You'll need to capture the error for "no records found" and then perform an "if" to do whatever you want to see instead of the default error message.
In Script Step is ok, or when I click in the layout and found set is empty (no records), filemaker show this message.
To my knowledge, there's not a way to suppress this when there are genuinely no records present. There are some potential workarounds, like taking the user to another layout, an overlay object that hides when there are records, and so forth, but they are pretty much workarounds.
Some discussion about that here: How to capture "no records are present" dialogue box in list view?
really? How about setting error capture on?
Thanx, or this is no way for me. In this discussion is no correctly solution too.
It is strange that Filemaker show alert ".... To create New record ...", when records in database are, just in current found set not. (only applied filter)
Thanks All for your help.
Were you trying to use a keyboard shortcut (⌘-N) to create a new record?
If so, be advised that you will get a new record only when you're in Browse view.
If you try to use that same shortcut in Layout view, you'll get a new layout.
If you try to use it in Find view, you'll get a new request. And, if I recall correctly, if you try to do it in Find view in a table where you haven't yet created any records on which to perform a Find, you'll get an error message. That may be what's happening here.
