Filemaker Server 11 on a Windows Server 2012 Essentials

I have been running Filemaker Server 11 on a Windows 7 Pro  workstation for 2-3 years with virtually no downtime.

The client has installed a Windows Server 2012 Essentials and moved from a workgroup environment to a domain based environment. I am still operating Filemaker Server on the workstation which I hesitate to join to the domain.

So my questions are:

1. Should I leave Filemaker Server 11 on the workstation, configured as it is? (note: I've had no problems, except the filemaker server service is not starting up automatically and I have to manually restart the filemaker server service. I think a Windows Update caused this anomoly)

2. Should I leave Filemaker Server 11 on the workstation, and join it to the domain?

3. Or should I install Filemaker Server 11 on the Windows Server 2012 Essentials?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
