Constrain found set ?
Beside that, try to use Filemaker's functions as they are instead of looking for a way to make them be different.
I don't want to modify what a command named "show all" does. I want it to continue to show all, for eternity. That's its job and I'm glad that it will work consistently forever.
If you want a show all but not quite all, build a script.
I concur that i would never modify the functionality of show all either.
Quick find does not respect the current found set. Nothing you can do about that except don't use quick find when you want to constrain or extend the current found set. you should invest some time examining all of the functionality of find mode before scripting a process to do what you want. Constrain, Omit, Extend and New Request are very powerfull tools.
