By curiosity do you get the same issue when you are using the calc function in Data Viewer like :
Hi Fred, that is a good question, so I tested just that and it gets even worse:
I created a new script with the following content:
Exit-Script[ parameter: Get(HostApplicationVersion) ]
Then I created another new script:
Perform script on server: [TheNewScript]
Show Dialog: Get ( ScriptResult )
The answer is: ......
Thank you for your posts.
Our Development and Testing departments are aware of this issue as it was reported previously on the forum. See:
I have attached your post to the original report. When more information becomes available, I will post again.
But that doesnt explain surely the original issue posted here by Menno :
The version of FMS is 14.0.3, The Get function return "14.0.2" which is known, but sounds like the script engine have an older version that is "14.0.1".
After years this Get bug is reoccurring, it is time to admit that it is design limitation (if any). Like suggested by Joshua Ormond, each component have its own version that could be different than the version package :
Element Version Filemaker Server Package 14.0.3 Database Server 14.0.2 Script engine (which is a part of Database Server). 14.0.1 Web Publishing engine 14.0.1
Or i am wrong ?
The Admin Console showing "Server 14.0.1" for the CLIENT VERSION column is definitely incorrect. This has been submitted as a separate issue.
I do not know the internals well enough, but this is definitely an issue; not a design limitation.
This appears to have been addressed in FileMaker Server 14.0.4.
