This never occurred to me. Even not with most current Mac OS beta releases.
There was a issue mentioned in a german forum where the FMP Dock Icon needs to be clicked twice in order to open FileMaker.
You could try:
- de-install and re-install Filemaker
- use Mac Disk Repair utility for 'Repair Permissions' AND Repair Disk …
Are there any small applications working in the background like MacKeeper or any anti-virus crap?
Yes, it's a weird, but really irritating one and after the 50th time today, I thought I'd report it! Interestingly, the same is true if I simply select it from the dock. It won't jump to it. I should have mentioned that I'm operating in whatever the equivalent is called of Spaces - and it doesn't happen if I don't.
Does that change anything, or should I still reinstall, etc? I run it on my Air too, and the same thing happens. If so, I don't have a copy to reinstall. Can I get a download link from somewhere.
I'm not running any background apps or virus software.
I've done as you suggested, but reinstalling and repairing permissions hasn't made a difference.
It's just a little bug, but irritating if you use multiple desktops.
Is this the correct forum to report it, or should I post it elsewhere?
Mac OSX 10.11 was launched last week. Do you wanna give it a try?
I still can't replicate.
Just upgraded to Sierra and the problem still persists. It’s really irritating.
