I've seen this out in the posts before but can't seem to find it. I'm trying to find the calculation where it looks at another date field and based on the year portion in that field, changes that to a four digit year in this new field. I don't want to change the existing date field I have already. Basically, I'm creating another field based off of that one, but just converting it to just the year. So if the date says 02/15/2010 in the originally field, this new date field, I just want it to read 2010 only. I guess an "IF" function could work, but I don't want to have to know all the dates that are in the database to have the calculation work, unless there is a simple way to do this, which there probably is. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you for your post.
I think you are referring to the Year Function. Examples would be [ Year(Get(CurrentDate))] or [Year(Date::Field)].
I hope this information is of use!
