You can use a custom function for this.
Here's one already made:
Using the above, you could do something like:
UniqueValues( List ( ingredient::attrib ) )
to return a list of the unique values.
You could use ExecuteSQL for this in something like this:
ExecuteSQL ( "
SELECT DISTINCT i.attrib
FROM cross_recipe_ingredient cri JOIN ingredient i ON cri.attribID=i.attribID
" ; "" ; "" ; RECIPES:recipesID )

I would have never come up with the idea to use sql to uniquify (oops, right word?) a filemaker list function. Very nice idea.
And i have my roots in sql software development (please do not pass this to public ).
