Bottom line is this possible? I've read many older threads, just wondering if anythings changed.
I'm using FMS14 and FMPro14, want to run a scheduled script to send 1 email with 1 pdf attachment to the same people each week.
You can't create a pdf from the server (you can if you really have to, but not using native FM), but you can from FMP,
so if you create the pdf using FMP and store it in a container you can use a script on the server to
export the pdf from the container to the temp. folder on the server and send an email with that pdf as an attachment.
Hope that helps
Mine won't let me save the pdf, im using a variable called $path value: "file" & get (temporarypath) & "inventory.pdf" even if I don't use temp and specify the container field it still won't create the file. The script runs with full access privileges aswell.
Got it saved now, thanks again!
I have it saved in the temp folder on my own machine, how do I tell the server to grab the file from that location. Should I instead create a dedicated folder to store the document on both my machine and our server machine instead of having it in temp?
