Its the vertical silos effect!
You use them as "styled number", then not exported as "data".
You can enter them as "character", then will be exported using unicode.
These are subscript numbers
I tried to create custom function to convert them, but the functions GetAsCSS() and GetAsSVG() don't return styled chars with such styles! instead use half size of font and vertical-align.
My question was more general. I'm not looking for a work-around.... Thanks for the suggestions, tho.
My question in more detail is more like this:
Shouldn't there be a 'File|Export Records... of Type: Numbers' functionality?
And if not, why not? Its a serious limitation of FMP, imho.
Excel is a widespread application, notably on Win systems. Exports to the Excel format can easily be imported by Numbers. I guess this is why a specific Numbers export does not exist. Numbers may also go the way of Aperture - who knows. But for sure: Excel will be there.
it became an 'issue' years ago - FileMaker can't deal with Apple's office applications )-:
this goes both ways. Even import from Numbers won't work:
