Thanks for the heads up on this, it looks like the sort of equipment I'm trying at the moment.
How well have you got on integrating this with a FM Go solution? My problem with the Captuvo so far is that it doesn't appear to natively plug and play with FM Go which is what I was hoping, although I may be wrong.
Have you needed to do a lot of additional interface coding to get the hardware scanning directly to FM Go, or is this relatively straightforward?
Thanks in advance
Looks like it's not possible to hook such kind of adapters to work directly with FileMaker Go. You should use FM with a native iOS app, that built on the SDK, that provided by adapters manufacturer.
For this purposes, I had to write a native app: FMLinea
I'm not sure about Captuvo, you could search for similar app in the App Store.
Were you able to get FMP Go to talk to the Captuvo?
Regrettably not, although I'm sure it can be done. Ideally I'm looking for a plug and play solution which I hoped the Captuvo would be, but it seems you need to develop an intermediary app to sit between this and Filemaker in a language which I do not know.
I've passed on Captuvo this time and instead am looking at bluetooth 'Socket' scanners instead which I hope will work better.
Now its possible to create a custom iOS app, based on iOS SDK with support of external accessories, like Captuvo or Linea.
