I am trying to do something that seems simple, but, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make it work.
I have a table with two fields. The first field [FIELD 1] contains a list of words and the second field [FIELD 2] contains a list of those same words but in hyphenated form. I want to add a third field [FIELD 3]into which I can input text and then have a script or even fourth field containing a calculation that will analyze the text in field 3 and return the hyphenated form of the text from field 2. The correctly hyphenated form of every word entered in FIELD 3 will be found in FIELD 2, but I cannot figure how to then change the text in field to the hyphenated form. Can anyone suggest how I might go about doing this?
I do hope that my question is clear. Thanks in advanced.
Hi pastor Mark,
Take a look at "Substitute()" function.
But I imagine that you have to alter the way those lists are stored.
