Rename external storage container file

This simple one step script "Base64Decode(Base64Encode(ContainerName);$Filename)" when used to rename a container file that is stored externally does change the internally stored name AND the physical name of the file itself wherever it is located.

I have not found any problem so far but there is nothing to be found on an internet search and I am wondering if anyone has any "be careful of" or "watch for" comments on their experience or knowledge of using these two commands to rename the internally stored name and the name of the file document itself.
