I have been a long time user of Filemaker.... all the way back to when it was Nishoba Systems. Great database. Why doesn't Filemaker have a store where developers can sell their work?
This has been a long debate. Those who are selling "products" may be able to tell you more. My concern was always getting quality databases out there, if there is just an "app store" for dbs. And who would determine what's quality?
Hard to say. Their business focus is on creating the product, I guess.
Why doesn't a private citizen start such a store?
Stephen Dolenski over at FM Forums has set something like this up: Marketplace
I don't think it's very active, or has any paid solutions at the moment. But it's something!
Have you checked out the Made For FileMaker site?
Made for FileMaker
It's filled with Solutions available from FBA members.
iI've found value in modularFilemaker.org as well
Having the opportunity to select "New Database..." from the File menu is so rewarding for me... alas it seldom happens.
But when it does, I feel like a painter in front of a blank canvas and I'd never give away that powerful sensation for a ready-made thing
On planet Filemaker, I'm a voyager, not a tourist. YMMV !
(a tourist never knows where he's been; a voyager never knows where he's headed)
