Check you are using the latest version of FMPA. (14.0.4). Make sure if you are on Windows that you are using the correct version for either 32 bit or 64 bit depending on your Windows version.
Beyond that, advanced has a tool called Script Debugger. Turn that on and step through the script one step at a time to identify at what step in the script FMPA is crashing. That will help you to troubleshoot the problem. It is possible that there is something on the layout that you are navigating to that is corrupted that is causing it to crash. You could try rebuilding the layout from scratch.

can you post the "travelling" script you use to go from a layout to another ?
If you use advanced, you can turn triggers off in the debugger. Does the crash still happen with triggers off ?
