Worked with Tyler at filemaker and developed a work-around... that worked for about an hour!
Tyler was good, no complaints, he gave me some insight as to how to develop a work around.
I worked around the problem by opening any files own my remote computer through a script step..
Don't let filemaker go looking for a file, don't use the open remote button.
Tell filemaker through a script step EXACTLY where to find the file on the remote computer..
Haven't received the error for two days now.
What can I say, Filmaker 14 has some bugs... I miss Filemaker 11, but the New Filemaker will eventually get there.
I'm glad to see a Work Around was found. I just wanted to add that this issue has occurred in the past when the host has multiple IP Addresses. One cause could be that both WiFi and Ethernet are enabled and FileMaker is trying to host from both addresses. I have also seen problems while IPV6 is enabled and the computer also has an IPV4 address. If this is the case, the Work Around may not be necessary.
My wifi and ethernet are both enabled, but this is absolutely necessary for the processing of credit card information. My credit card company doesn’t want card information broadcast over wifi… and so it goes…
Thanks for the info, it was very helpful..
Tyler was great!
