I think you're going to also have to explain what you mean by "finding it on the web".
Obviously (?) localhost refers to the computer running FileMaker Server.
The command you gave allows you to see the web direct file if you are using the browser on the server computer itself.
Are you expecting to see the web direct file from another computer on your local system?
Are you expecting to see the web direct file from "the outside world"?
http://localhosthost or IPaddress/fmi/webd I used this url.
It shows safari can't connect to the server If i clicked on Test FileMaker Webdirect link. As you can see it.
what browser? Could it be Firewall issue? Restricted browser?
did You click on 'Test webdirect' (Your screenshot)? What shows the admin console of the FM Server (all 'on')?
Yup, I am using Safari in Mac & Internet Explorer, Chrome in Windows. Admin Console do show perfectly.
I clicked on "Test Webdirect" but get the above screen shot as have already told in above discussion with BruceRobertson.
These are below points who have checked :
1. Java Enabled in Mac Server
2. Using Compatible version of browser version for both case (Mac & Windows)
3. Already enabled web direct option at the time of deployment.
Turn WebDirect off and see if you get this message when you goto localhost/fmi/webd/ : Custom Web Publishing Technology disabled; WebDirect is turned OFF.
If that doesn't show probably some rights issue on the webserver folder. You might want to rerun the server assistant and check for errors when configuring the webserver.
I'm guessing you can access the admin console via 220.127.116.11:16000 ? You might get a server certificate question that you need to answer first then maybe webdirect will work.
oh yes and last but not least... don't forget to turn webdirect on in the file itself : file -> sharing -> configure for webdirect.
