I have a pretty simple setup where I can move a record between two portals shown on the same layout. This is so a user can make the record active or not. A script trigger simply sets an 'active' field to '1' or '0' depending whether I want it active or not and the two portals are filtered by this value respectively. This works.
I have in turn a summary field calculated on the child table (same table as the portal) which adds up all the '1' entries and tells me how many active records are in the active portal.
However, when I click to deactivate a record, the summary total does not change until I click the main layout again. Not sure why.
My script goes to portal object, refreshes it. Refreshes window. Commits records.
What I really want is the summary total to change at the same time as the user deactivates or re-activates a record.
Any ideas on this?
neme the field object. then use script step refresh object
