I have a wide layout that I wish to print landscape in multiple pages. It only prints the first page. thanks
Could be a printer driver issue, not FM. Check to make sure you have All selected in the print dialog.
The layout prints in multiple pages as expected if its longer but not if the layout is wider.
Ok I see now where Printing to the right of the vertical margin doesn't print. Any suggestions on how to approach this?
I think there is no way in FM.
Define large paper it covers the horizontal size, then you can use printer option that breaks big page into many small papers.
If you go to Preview mode and select Page setup, do you see landscape selected? and do you need to adjust the Scale to make it fit the page?
With respect, that is incorrect. It is a case of designing the layout to suit landscape printing, then making sure you set up the page setup and print dialogs to suit. I do it all the time. I even have print scripts that switch between portrait and landscape for different parts of the report. God advice from Beverly to use preview mode to check what printed outcome to expect.
I thought OP need 16inch or wider layout then want to print it in A4 or letter size paper.
Thanks for you help so far. Maybe I haven't been clear enough. Shrinking the layout to fit would be too small to read. I have landscape selected. This layout is a list view of students of say 15 to 20 records which is easily accommodated in the height of a 8.5 by 11 landscape. The problem is the width. The students scores then go across. My above screenshot doesn't do justice to how wide this layout is but its 100 inches wide. I can give more information on why the layout is structured this way if necessary but I'm just wanting to get the layout to print with each consecutive page picking up where the last one left off. I have considered building multiple layouts with some scripting and i think it could be achieved by this method but surely theres a simpler way.
This would be a wonderful Idea request! I have often wished for the ability to print wide and down. For an example, we can print the relationship graph "as is" on multiple pages (across and down!)
But since that's not possible for now, I've opted for the multiple layouts (or designing differently).
And perhaps your data exported to Excel would get you the correct print?
Ok thanks, Plan B on go
Oh, fair enough. I missed that detail. That would present difficulties in any program, not just FM. So still not and FM issue.
