Arrange All Windows [ Bring All To Front ] Failure

    BarryIsakson

      FileMaker Pro Advanced 14.04

Mac OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) and 27" Thunderbolt Display

      Description:

After exporting a PDF to file to the temp directory and automatically opening the file, the Arrange All Windows [ Bring to Front] script step fails to bring FileMaker Pro windows to the foreground.

      Export Field Contents [ containerField ; “$ExportPath” ; Automatically open ]

      Pause/Resume Script [ Duration (seconds): 2 ]

Arrange All Windows [ Bring All To Front ]

After executing the above script steps the PDF file is opened in Preview. After the pause the system menubar changes to show the FileMaker menus at the top of the screen but none of the open FileMaker windows come to the foreground even after adding a Select Window command. Clicking on any of the FileMaker menus or the menubar at the top of the screen immediately brings the FileMaker windows to the foreground without touching the windows themselves.

      Workaround:

      Use FileMaker Pro 13:-)
