I always fancied gaming mice for their increased tracking precision, so much needed when in layout mode. Especially the ones that are designed to fit both hands, as I'm left-handed. Some extra button, that can be programmed to do an alt-click recognizable by Filemaker (very handy in scripts when editing a Set Field instruction) has been another plus. So I've been using this for a long time now.
I got several older magic m's - and was thinking about getting one or two of the new ones. Would be bad since I got no production machine on 10.11 )-:
problem with 10.11 is with the older version of FM... we got clients with FM11, FM10. Although own tests showed that FM11 plays quite well with 10.11, I jus did not find the time to check that out serious
Good Idea... I'll check these out. Thanks
I did leave Apple feedback on the mouse telling them that and asking them to fix this. The web site says there are new functions. When I looked at the demos, it does what my old mouse did. The only real new feature is the built in rechargeable battery. My guess is it would be a trivial update to turn the standard features of this mouse on in older versions of OS X.
