Regulatory association - what is best to use for member database, committees etc.

Hello - we are a regulatory/licensing/governing non-profit association for veterinarians. We currently use Filemaker Pro 2007 for our members & clinics. We have several committees that use Sharepoint which allows them to access documents and interact with their own login only while on the committee. Security is a big concern being that some cases can go to a hearing. We also inspect clinics so that would be another component we would use as well as conferences. We are also looking at online renewals which would probably involve integrating our Simply into Filemaker and maybe have something to allow members to update some of their information.   Have you come across a user that might be an association like us? Just wondering what suggestions you would have.
