For better or worse, FileMaker offers us developers a lot of flexibility when structuring our solutions. While some may be better than others, I suggest that there are a lot of right answers. "...is not set-up correctly" presumes a right way and I wrong way.
I took a look at the image - why do you think this structure is inadequate?
Thanks Daniel, want to keep an open mind when reviewing his solutions. I think a primary key (UUID) should be linking the files to the right.
It looks like he is using the primary key for Active_Students, Translator_List, and Vendor_List. I do notice that the primary key in Active_Student has a different naming convention then the other tables (STD ID instead of _pkActiveStudent).
School_List uses School Name and OtherLang_List uses LangName. Technically, this may be fine as long as those fields are not empty and unique. However, I suggest generating a primary key (e.g. _pkSchoolName and _pkLangName) because if the School Name or Language Name changes then that relationship will break.
