I believe that if a post is a Document (not just a discussion), then it can have multiple authors (added by the originator).
Hi, alas the multiple authors is somewhere else in the community (i think idea authors).
Documents here sadly do not offer that option:
OK, so I saw your test and tried to add you, also not with desired results:
...I tried! ☺
maybe the "place" is the problem?
This may be a permissions issue. First I tried creating a discussion in this area (FileMaker Community Feedback), and it did not allow me to restrict authors -- because the concept doesn't apply to discussions.
Then I created a document in this area, clicked the "Advanced Features" link at the bottom of the document, and it did allow me to restrict authors. I entered Bev's name and was able to add her.
So if this is not possible for you to do, perhaps the feature -- although offered to you in the interface -- isn't completely available to you. Let's explore this further to see if this is the case, and if so, how it can be changed.
FYI: I did manage to become multiple author of a document with beverly together, however, I had to turn the discussion into a document and THEN IRST SAVE IT. After that I could add beverly to the author list.
Trying to do both steps at once did not work.
Glad you were able to figure that out -- thanks for sharing the information.
