How to look for duplicates in a portal?

      You good people,

I am trying and failing to search for duplicates in a portal.

Let's say each parent record is an order and each child record in the portal is an item. Now, I would like to see whether my customer has selected the same item twice by accident. I do the following (which will be done in a script later): In find mode, I enter the pk value of the record I want to search through into the pk field and in the portal I enter "!" under ItemName, as in "search the specified parent record for duplicate values in the child records". The find, however, returns the specified parent record with all items in the portal, even if none of them are listed twice in the found record.

Does my search maybe search all the records of the child table for duplicates? If so, is there a way to limit the search to records related to the found parent records?

Thanks so much and best regards,

      Johannes
