I fall at the first hurdle of the Finding and replacing data help documentation.
In Browse, Find, or Layout mode, choose Edit menu > Find/Replace > Find/Replace."
There is no Find/Replace there...
I am using Filemaker Pro 14 on OSX.
Any help will be appreciated!
Notice the "Duplicate Step" command.
You are not in browse mode.
Those are script editor commands.
Close the script editor.
Click on the layout itself.
Thanks, I have looked again and present to you this image of the dire situation which awaited me
strangely the menu bar does not show Insert, Format and Records menus. Is it possible that when you click on Edit, the window that has the focus is a Script window ?
I had been in the script window and had closed it, I am not sure why the focus hadn't switched back, but quitting and reopening solved it. Thanks for the help.
This seems to be correct, although there was no script editor open, I had to quit and restart FileMaker to get the menus back. I had opened and closed the script editor earlier and I suppose the script editor hadn't closed correctly?
Thanks for your help.
